And the true countdown begins...

How time has flown... 15 days until I leave.  I cannot believe it.  I am so excited to be in Guatemala but am a little overwhelmed with school, work situations, and just life.  Reality has hit.  I will be leaving in just over two weeks and I will be gone for 2.5 months - that is a long time!  But I know I have so much support and that I am not going for me but because God has placed this opportunity to serve and a love in my heart for Guatemala that I cannot deny.  So now, I just have to get through exams, pack, and emotionally, financially, and spiritually prepare for this amazing adventure.  If you could - I would appreciate all the prayer I could get right now as Satan is trying to stop me through discouragement.  Please pray that God will protect me and that I will be able to do what He has in store for me.
Love you all,
Becca
PS. I got Skype (beccahouweling), so if you want to add me I would love to keep in touch with you that way

I just want to go now

Hey everyone!
So I guess this counts as my very first blogging experience...

As the days go on, it is getting harder and harder to wait.  I just want to be in Guatemala again.  I still cannot completely believe that I am going to be in Guatemala for 2.5 months - its crazy.  In exactly 50 days, I will be in Guatemala again!  Wow, there is a lot that still has to happen before then...
Although I wish I could fast forward these next 7 weeks before I leave, I know I cannot.  I also believe that God still is preparing my heart and mind for my time there.  So I guess I just have to wait and trust that I will get there in His perfect timing.

Hope all is well with everyone.
Blessings,
Rebecca
